Terms of service

HOWL is an unofficial community ranked platform for WARDOGS, run by volunteers. It is not affiliated with Bulkhead Interactive or Team17. By using the site or the Discord bot you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

The service may change, pause or stop at any time. Seasons, modes, rules and ratings can be adjusted while HOWL and WARDOGS are in development.

• One HOWL account per person. Second accounts are removed.
• The Steam account you sign in with must be your own.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• Queueing needs a linked Discord account and membership of the HOWL Discord.
• You must be old enough to hold a Steam account and to play WARDOGS.

Cheating, smurfing, boosting, match fixing, griefing your own team, leaving matches, dodging ready checks and abusive behaviour towards other players are against the rules. The rules and the penalty ladder are described on how ranked works. Penalties range from a warning to a permanent ban, and rating gained through cheating can be removed from everyone who profited from it.

Match results are reported with scoreboard evidence and countersigned by the captains. Sanctions are decided by two reviewers. Both are final, subject to appeal with /appeal in Discord. HOWL may void or amend a result when the evidence shows it was wrong.

Screenshots, reports and appeal text you submit may be stored and shown to reviewers and, for match evidence, to the players in that match. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share. HOWL brand assets are covered by the rules on the assets page.

The service is provided as is. HOWL is not liable for lost rating, downtime, data loss, or the outcome of a review or appeal. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence. Questions go to the HOWL Discord.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced in the HOWL Discord.
